mintty is a Windows terminal emulator for Cygwin, MSYS2, and WSL.
It provides xterm-compatible emulation with Unicode, True Color, hyperlinks, image display, Sixel graphics, search, and tab support.
It uses a native Windows interface and keeps its settings in a text file instead of the registry.

How to install Mintty
In Cygwin, mintty is installed as the default Cygwin Terminal.
In MSYS2, it is usually installed by default, or you can add it later with pacman -S mintty. In Git for Windows, it is installed by default as Git Bash.
For old MSYS, select the msys-mintty package in the installer, or use mingw-get install mintty. See the official site and source code.
