QTerminal is a lightweight terminal emulator built with Qt and based on QTermWidget.

It supports tabbed terminals and bookmarks, and it is maintained by LXQt while still working well as a standalone app. See the source code and the project page.

It is for Linux and BSD users who want a fast Qt terminal with LXQt integration or a simple standalone terminal.

How to install QTerminal

Install the packaged build first if your system provides it. QTerminal is available in major Linux and BSD distributions, so search your package manager for qterminal.

To build from source, install Qt 6.6 or newer, QTermWidget, CMake 3.18 or newer, and lxqt-build-tools. libcanberra is optional if you want bell sound support.

Build it out of source with CMake, then run make and make install. Use the GitHub repository for the source and build details.
