Terminology is an EFL terminal emulator for Linux, BSD, and UNIX that stays close to xterm while adding richer graphical features.

It supports inline images and video, local file previews, clickable paths and URLs, tabs, split panes, themes, and optional OpenGL rendering. Scrollback stays in RAM and is compressed on the fly.

It also includes themes, color controls, RAM based scrollback, and optional OpenGL rendering.

How to install Terminology

See the official Terminology page for project details, or browse the source at GitHub.

To build from source, install the required EFL dependencies, then run meson build, ninja -C build, and sudo ninja -C build install from the project root.

The official docs also link to the download page if you want a packaged release instead of compiling it yourself.
