A live USB device tree TUI with Linux activity metrics.

usbtree is a cross-platform TUI for inspecting connected USB devices as a live hardware usb tree monitor in the terminal.

It can show the details of USB hubs on the machine and also showing the type of device, class, transfer speed, power consumption, and hot-plug events. You can copy the device information such as the vendor-product info and this tool also has the ability to filter via matching name in the search box.

If you're running usbtree on Linux, it supports an activity graph with real-time bandwidth readings through usbmon, showing the live transfer speed. It inspects devices on the PCI bus and you can safely eject devices from the TUI.

usbtree is useful for hardware engineers, software engineers, power users on Linux and for those who have lots of connected USB devices. It can be used to quickly check if any USB devices are recognized correctly or if the device I/O is sending and receiving data to and from the computer.
