Terminal Bookmark Managers

A bookmark is a saved link, and a bookmark manager is what keeps a large pile of them findable through titles, tags, notes and search over pages saved months ago.

 

Terminal bookmark managers keep the collection in a local database or a plain text file, add links from a single command or a pipe, and search them without opening a browser. Some sync with hosted services such as Pinboard or Raindrop, others stay offline and keep the file under version control with the rest of a dotfiles repository.
