A live tree of systemd jobs on the boot console.

Review this script before executing in your terminal.

bootvine is a terminal tool that shows which systemd startup services are being initialized in the Linux system after startup and shutdown.
It shows a live tree timeline of which services are still starting and what they are currently waiting for. The timeline gives details of which services took the longest (in seconds) or failed and which ones appear with their error messages and recent logs.
The tree shows services which belong at which stage of the loading process and it gives a short description of what the service does. bootvine is runs on Linux systems that use systemd and can show the earliest stage of startup if that stage uses systemd too.
bootvine is very useful to Linux users who want to find out which systemd services are delaying startup or shutdown, see what those services are waiting for and to easily investigate why something fails without scrolling through the kernel and systemd logs.
