clavirio is a touch typing tester with tutor guided lessons and timed practice sessions inside of your terminal.
It has step-by-step lessons that introduce keys by finger pair and keyboard row. The lesson sequence supports keyboard layouts such as QWERTY, Dvorak and Colemak layouts which you can change at any time. A virtual keyboard below shows the corresponding finger position and the selected keys as you type the text that appears on the screen.
Practice typing modes include common words, programming terms, custom text and drills for weak keys. Live feedback displays typing speed, accuracy and errors. clavirio saves session histories and accuracy for individual keys and after each session, a results graph shows speed statistics and the weakest-key option with suggestions for further practice.
For technical learners such as developers, technical writers or hobbyists that use the terminal can practice touch typing with visible keyboard movements and track their improvements over time.
