rail is a terminal email client for reading and sending mail through Gmail and Microsoft 365.
It combines accounts in one inbox and keeps messages in a local SQLite store for reading and searching. It also supports saved searches, snoozing and bulk actions, so several conversations can be archived, moved or marked as read together.
Messages are written in your preferred editor, then reviewed with their attachments before sending. Drafts stay on your computer until you choose to save them to your account, and a ten-second delay gives you time to cancel a send.
rail runs on Linux and macOS and is for developers and system administrators who prefer managing personal and work email alongside their other terminal tools.
