A terminal music player for Spotify, local files, Subsonic, radio, and YouTube.

spotatui is a terminal music player for Spotify and other audio sources and is the actively maintained fork of spotify-tui.

It supports Spotify playback, native streaming, synced lyrics, search, queue control, liked songs, and local listening history. It also works with local files, Subsonic or Navidrome, internet radio, and YouTube, so Spotify is not the only path.

For day-to-day use, spotatui keeps playback close to the keyboard. It has media keys, MPRIS on Linux, macOS Now Playing, shell completions, Discord Rich Presence, Lua plugins, and a HTML recap for listening history.

spotatui is useful for anyone who wants music control without a heavy desktop app. It is especially good for Linux users, Spotify Premium users, self-hosted music people and those who prefer the terminal interface.
