Review this script before executing in your terminal.

mdfried is a markdown viewer for the terminal that renders headers as Bigger Text than the rest, if your terminal supports some graphics protocol.
It renders Markdown with big headers as images with the Text Sizing Protocol and it supports multiple graphics backends such as Kitty, iTerm2 Image Protocol and Sixel and it falls back to using chafa for character-based block rendering where needed.
This markdown viewer has pager controls, search, links and heading jumps, includes code highlighting, can render mermaid diagram rendering, can open URLs directly and supports theme configuration.
mdfried can be used as an alternative markdown reader in the terminal for developers, writers, students and terminal power users that use it for documentation with images, viewing READMEs and Markdown files without opening them in the browser.
