mitos is a modern text editor with batteries included that lives in your terminal and is built from the helix editor.
It features a modal selection box on with auto-complete operations and has syntax-aware text selections which its modal can suggest lists of functions and written examples. It comes with a standard file explorer integrated with the editor with search to help with navigating multiple projects.
Additionally, it provides debug adapters for breakpoints, stepping and variable inspection and has support for image previewing which is absent in helix. This tool includes support for multiple selections at once and it can be configured to use language servers for provide auto-completion, diagnostics, navigation and formatting with code actions.
For those that are looking for an alternative to helix or kakoune, can use mitos to edit source files, documentation, navigate projects with integrated LSP tooling and try new features not included in helix.
