proxelar is both a CLI and TUI proxy that inspects and can capture and modify incoming HTTP, HTTPS and WebSocket traffic directly from your terminal.
Applications send traffic through proxelar's local proxy and it can extract displays headers, request bodies and individual streaming WebSocket frames. Like similar proxies, this terminal tool can also interactively Intercept pauses in HTTP requests for live editing before forwarding or dropping them with a custom response and captured requests can be replayed / repeated to the server.
proxelar has partial support for modern protocols such as HTTP/3, QUIC and Lua hooks can automate request and response changes, including returning mock responses from a reverse proxy. Sessions can be exported as HAR files or curl requests to be repeated or raw HTTP text requests.
Developers interested in network traffic analysis or security-focused engineers and researchers who need to test API behaviour by manipulating responses or requests can use proxelar to inspect traffic send from cilent-side applications or devices.
