tennis is a command-line tool that displays CSV or TSV and other structured data in the form of formatted terminal tables.
The columns can be auto-resized to fit the terminal dimensions and it truncates long cells and formats numeric values. It can be customized in how it displays the data such as choosing the colors to match the background or the border styles.
tennis can also be used as a CLI and accepts JSON, JSONL and SQLite data as input alongside other delimited files. It has a peak mode to summarize the data shape and column contents if you prefer to avoid viewing all the data in one table.
This terminal tool is useful to developers who need an alternative CSV viewer that is cross platform, can inspect beyond CSV files and is composable via piping command output for automation.
