abtop is a TUI monitor for displaying token information for Claude Code, Codex CLI and OpenCode sessions in real time.
The design is inspired by btop and it is made for showing detailed coding agent session data. It shows token use, quota, memory, token rate, session status, Git changes, child processes and open ports. For Claude Code and Codex CLI, it also tracks context window usage, rate limits and current tasks.
It also detects orphaned ports which you can close them, jump to a session’s existing terminal, stop the session or export a JSON snapshot for scripts. This tool works without using API keys or authentication, it reads local session data only. Displayed in its TUI are Vim style key-bindings for navigation and the ability to change themes for customizing itsook and feel.
Developers and those using terminal coding agents regularly would find abtop useful for monitoring their token consumption, rate limits and quotas in the terminal.
