panix is a stateless deployment orchestrator for NixOS flakes which manages the lifecycle of provisioning NixOS systems to machines in the terminal.
It inspects selected targets, bootstraps bare metal servers and builds closures, while also being able to syncs secrets across machines and activates configurations. It also deduplicates shared builds, can filter tags with search and has support for remote builds across multiple flakes.
Other features include, dry runs for simulating destructive actions and JSON snapshot replays which can be viewed for inspection in the TUI. It has the ability to retry any deployment failures that may occur and It is also flake agnostic, so if you manage any NixOS flakes yourself, you don't need to modify anything and the panix.yml can be edited.
System administrators, homelab operators and those familiar with Nix and NixOS would find panix useful for repeatable machine provisioning and fleet updates over SSH.
