kew is a minimalist cross-platform terminal music player for playing music and playlists in your local audio library.
It allows you to search for properties in the music library explorer such as the artist, album and track names locally in your music folder and it supports gap-less playback and handles multiple file formats for playback including MP3, FLAC, AAC, Opus, Ogg, WebM, WAV and AIFF files.
Additionally, kew can display lyrics during playback. It supports displaying album covers and has a switchable theme catalog and visualization styles that matches the color of the cover art.
kew works well for anyone who is after an offline-only music player that plays their existing music playlists with real time visuals in a terminal interface.
