amdtop is a TUI system monitor specialized for AMD GPUs and XDNA NPUs.
It monitors the performance load of AMD GPUs that are currently connected to the system on an aggregated load rather than a per-core activity, which is instead on the CPU level. It also monitors multiple AMD GPUs and takes in readings of the GPU's memory, temperature, power and shows a graph of the total GPU utilization.
This tool monitors the NPUs telemetry, and shows the program that is actively using the NPU and how much utilization it uses. Each of the sections are collapsible, depending on the number of GPUs connected. There are also configurable gauge styles and selectable themes to change the appearance of the system monitor.
amdtop is useful for system administrators, machine learning engineers and hardware engineers who are familiar with nvitop or btop. It can be used to specifically inspect AMD GPU activity ranging from single or multiple GPUs all in the terminal.
