excise is a terminal disk usage explorer and an independent fork and spiritual successor to diskonaut.
You can scan folders, exclude paths and see how much space files occupy without counting hard links twice. It also checks that files still match what you reviewed before permanently deleting them.
You can also change theme of excise, save settings in a TOML file and limit memory use during scans. Scan results and deletion history can be exported as JSON for use in scripts, with table output available too.
Developers and system administrators would benefit the most out of excise in order to investigate large folders and remove project files they no longer need.
